As the days grow longer, Vermejo invites you to raise a glass to the summer season ahead with an open-air celebration of food, wine, and connection. Set against the sweeping Southern Rocky Mountains, the weekend pairs fire-driven fare with expressive Old World wines crafted with deep respect for soil, climate, and grape origin.
Featured Wineries

Fabio Longano, U.S. Ambassador for La Spinetta and Certified Sommelier, joins us for the weekend's events to guide guests through wines originating from Piedmont and Tuscany. Among its many awards, La Spinetta is highly regarded for its approach to using older vines more closely tied with the land, which produce fewer grapes but more pronounced flavor profiles. La Spinetta practices sustainable and organic farming and is widely known for producing wines of character, longevity, and a strong sense of place.

Michael Romero of Synergy Fine Wines will also be in attendance, representing Cantina Santa Barbara, an historic producer in Italy’s Marche region nestled among clay- and water-rich hills just inland from the Adriatic Sea. The winery’s vineyards, many 25-40 years old, thrive in soils shaped by sea breezes and gentle slopes, yielding expressive wines that capture the character of their land. Santa Barbara’s philosophy of respect for terroir and continual improvement guides its fruit-forward, balanced expressions, making these selections perfect for summer sipping and shared moments.
A Taste of Italy: Wine & Wood-Fired Pizza

The weekend begins beneath open skies with a pre-dinner aperitivo on the veranda, inviting relaxed conversation in the evening air. Sip and mingle with guests and wine partners over small plates of wood-fired pizza fresh from the oven, paired with a wine flight ideal for unhurried summer nights. Dinner follows in the lodge at 6:00 p.m.

On Saturday evening, the focus turns to bold American flavors with an elevated barbecue experience featuring chef-attended carving stations and thoughtfully paired wines. The gathering unfolds around fire and table, celebrating generous hospitality while offering inspiration for hosting your own summer meals with ease and intention.
